Directing and giving most of the classes in the Kollel is Rabbi Mordy Feiner, son-in-law of Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, Chabad’s executive Vice President.
Born and raised in L.A., Rabbi Feiner is fluent in many languages and teaches Torah classes in English, Hebrew, Spanish and Yiddish.
Kollel hours are from 9 AM – 2PM, and 7-9PM.
In addition to the seven daily hours of both public and one on one Torah sessions at the Kollel, Chabad’s main center also offers the Daf Yomi, a daily page of Talmud, at 6AM every weekday morning, and a study group in the Code of Jewish Law, weekdays at 7:30AM.

Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, who serves as the senior Rabbi of Congregation Levi Yitzchok – Lubavitch and dean of the Chaya Aydel Seminary, Florida’s only Jewish Teacher’s College for Women, also heads eleven Chabad centers and thirty-five Chabad agencies in 10 Broward Cities. He is astounded at the interest, participation and the early success of the Kollel.
“It’s become very popular for adults to break away from their hectic workday and study a subject that is both intellectally stimulating and inspiring. To offer adult education Torah classes, eight hours a day, in the summertime no less, is somewhat revolutionary for Broward County. The current schedule runs through the end of July, and is open to the public. Attendance in the first week of the Kollel was way beyond expectations,” Rabbi Tennenhaus remarked. The Business and Professionals Kollel is also open to retirees. Classes are available to individuals with a Yeshiva education, as well as for beginners. The Kollel is located at 1295 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd.
A new project launched immediately after the recent holiday of Shavuos, when the Torah was given to the
Jewish people 3,319 years ago, is the Business and Professionals Kollel that has opened in Hallandale Beach, at the Headquarters of Chabad of South Broward.
