In what has become a South Florida tradition, organizers are expecting a massive crowd on Wednesday, February 28, at 6 PM, at the 25th Annual South Florida Chassidic Pre–Purim Festival.

This year, the festival will take place at the Broward CHAI Center, 1295 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd., Chabad of South Broward Headquarters.

Featured at the festival will be free rides, a free BBQ, a masquerade contest for adults and children, prizes, Purim arts and crafts, Purim goodies for the kids, live music and much, much more. In addition, children will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with a host of genuine Purim characters. The characters are being created by the seminary students of the Chaya Aydel Seminary.

Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus, Chabad's executive vice president, says that the joy of the Pre-Purim Festival will extend beyond the Festival location. "For the 27th consecutive year, staff and volunteers from Chabad of South Broward will bring the joy of Purim to thousands in hospitals, nursing homes, retirement homes and schools. In addition to Shalach Manot (Purim goodies) to those in need, there will be scores of Megillah readings and a dozen Purim feasts hosted by Chabad centers throughout South Broward."
